Been thinking of buying a t610 from Semicon but I hear may problema ang firmware version ng mga meron sila. Kailan kaya magrerelease ng series na walang prob?

Basing it from the other threads as well as my own experience, the 03W21 issue is a hit and miss thing. Some units have that infamous hissing sound some do not.

The beauty of buying it from an authorized dealer is that their units have warranty. You can return and exchange it where you bought them within 7 days without questions or do the same with an official report after that period lapses but before 1 year in an SE Service Center.

the said issue is not related to the firmware, but purpotedly with the week of manufacture. like dlreyes said, 03W21 is said to be the magic date.

I see! I know about the 7 day period. MY worry is finding a defect after that period. So, it seems I can still replace it after that? Are my worries that subsequent week productions are Better in ways which the old weeks cant be upgraded to?

Would you know if week 21 is the stock in semicon and if thats the latest? thanks!

Only Semicon could answer that and as I've said earlier, it's a hit and miss thing. I've tried several units of 03W19 and they did not have problems at all.

It should not worry you at all if you bought your unit from an authorized dealer. The hissing sound should be noticable thge moment you buy your unit and not after several months and therefore you could always change it before leaving the store.
