I have my phonebook entries stored on the phone not on the sim. Why would I want to put contacts on my sim card and use the 'Call from Sim' feature. I think this is what happens when I press, for example, 3#

Copying your contacts to your SIM is a way to back up your contacts... This message was posted from a T300

the only problem with that is that generally you can fit more contacts on the phone than you can on the sim.

Yeah, and remember: e-mail addresses won't be backed up this way. If you want to do a full backup, go to Contacts > Advanced > Send and them send them to your computer via cable/IRda/Bluetooth (if your phone supports it ;-)). This message was posted from a T300
