I am a tadd confused by all the different ways to access mobile content on the T610.
If you select the top-left icon you go direct to Sony Ericsson (but from there nothing seems to happen). If you use the top-middle icon you also go to the same Sony Ericsson page, and again nothing works.
If you press the little button on the side, it takes you direct to O2 Active (on my phone anyway).
Is there any way I can change where the top-left and top-middle icons take me? It's be handy if I could configure them to go direct to a specific wap page, for example.
Also, it is a very long-winded set of keypresses to get to a text input box so I can type the address of a wap site. In fact, it was so unintuitive it took me ages to find out how to do it!
At the moment I effectively have two desktop icons that dont do anything! Altho they are better than having Voda-branded ones!

Okay... 43 views and no replies. This is either because (a) it can't be done or (b) nobody knows how to do it, or (c) you don't understand what I'm on about :o)
Possibly (c)...

I get different behaviour on my unbranded T610. The top left icon takes me to wap.sonyericsson.com where I can do all the stuff on that site (download games, themes etc).
The top middle icon takes me to an internal T610 wap page (i.e. no wap connection yet) which has 4 items
search engine
picture gallery
online manual
settings
in this I can then press the more key to get to functions such as bookmark, enter address etc... and this is all before I have made a connection yet.
Also up joystick from the standby screen brings me to this same menu so to enter an address or choose a bookmark takes 1 joystick movement, the more key and then joystick to the option I want.
Finally, my right button takes me to the homepage of my current wap profile.
I don't know about changing the behaviour of the two icons but I believe if you crate a new wap profile and make it the current one then your right button should go there instead of your O2 stuff.
I think another O2 person is better to answer your questions though but that gives you an insight into the unbranded version.

Thanks for that...
My top-middle icon does exactly as you describe, but selecting any of the options in that menu doesn't do anything (search, etc)...
The top-left takes me to the same place. Doesn't seem to be the sonyericsson site (there is essentially no difference between the two icons).
It'd be cool if I can change where they point to in some way :o)

Hi, i am in the US, New York. Recently I bought this T610 phone, from Cingular wireless. I tried every effort to surf the internet using my phone but it never worked. I been calling their customer service for help. Seems nobody even understand my question. Does anyone know the wap profile or configurator to make it work for the internet. Has anyone tried to use this kind phone to access the web successfully? plz post me every detail that i need to go on the net.
VERY THANKFULLY

Hi ya,
I have a T610 and am on the O2 Online 100 tariff. My menu buttons are as follows;
Top-left: Labelled: Sony Ericsson
1) Clicking on this dials +447712927927 and opens O2 Active
Top-Middle: Labelled: Internet services
1) Clicking this opens the Sony Ericsson
2) If I select Search Engine, it dials +447712927927 and opens Google
Side Button:
1) Opens O2 Active page (with no wap connection)
2) Clicking one of the options dials +447712927927 and displays the page.
I'm no expert but perhaps your O2 WAP GSM settings are wrong.
Hope this helps.
