Does it effeckt your standby time with GPRS set to ON in the menu where you can choose to use GPRS and GSM, or GSM only? Another question about GPRS: I noticed that when you send a MMS the signal for GPRS (In the upper left corner) shows up, even though it's set to GSM only... Is that because you use GPRS when you send a MMS? I think that's why, but I don't have a GPRS subscription with my operator...!?

MMS is some kinda way of GPRS, but it is different. And yes, it does affect your standby time! Since I'm using GPRS for 8 hours a day, I have to recharge my T300's battery every day!

Of course no! Only if you use GPRS, it eats your battery power
I have chosen GPRS and GSM, so I can answer to the incoming call when I'm brausing. So I can speak with GPRS-connection still alive and after the call I can continue brausing with GPRS.

Aivar's right, on the P800 for example, GPRS only means when I'm browsing, I can't answer any calls, while GPRS + GSM means the GPRS will suspend while I take the call.
GPRS will only guzzle juice when being used.

not true actually...
Ive just changed mine to GPRS only and am getting much better battery life.
Whenever i need GPRS however it does connect up fine, allbeit after a 3-4 second pause, but the battery life is noticeably different on GSM Only.

Sorry,
I meant when GPRS is actually transferring data, not just on/connected...
