I had recently bought a T610 from CPW and returned it due to all the problems (Hissing etc). They are now arranging a credit back to mr account etc.
I just felt I had to say what excellent customer service I have received from them. When I have spoken to them and it involved a call back they ALWAYS called back and were very polite.
Well done CPW. If you need a phone try them out.
I am now getting a company phone otherwise I would have got a new contract in a month or so when the newer T610 (03 W23) are available.

You go in and ask them a question and half of them don't have a clue what they are on about and the other half are rude. (this of course is not every shop)
The website is half done with incorrect information for phones and 5/5 rating for every damn handset! =\
Orange shops I've noticed have the best customer service...but who the hell wants to sign on orange =|

My experience is from dealing with CPW Direct I.e Direct Telephone sales and customer services.
I agree the stores provide ropey levels of service as with all major retailers.

My T68i developed a (software) fault after 6 months. My local store sent it off to a
SC, in this case, the CPW headoffice, to get flashed with new software; unfortunately, the same version, which took the 2 weeks I was told it would! BAD They also wiped all personal data (no problem as it was backed up).
The fault recurred 1 week later, and this time I took the phone to the CPW SC local to where I work, and they flashed newer software withn hours. GOOD.
The fault has come back 2 days later!
The sterling test will be when I go back to my local branch on Saturday and demand a new handset...
Right - just spoke to them, and without quibble, told me if I go in to my local branch today, they'll order me a refurbished handset (e.g. ex-14 day trial) to replace my own, which I should have in a couple of days.... If the glitch rears its head just one more time, i'll be staright down the store...
