> Charging my T610 for the first time?

I'm getting my T610 delivered tomorrow according my phone shop (woohoo!), and was wondering how long a new phone should be charged for when you first get it?
I remember a few years back when phones used Ni-Cad or Ni-MH batteries, you were strongly advised to charge them for about 12 hours before using them to condition the battery properly. Otherwise, the battery’s standby time would be greatly reduced. Does this still apply now phones use Li-Ion cells? (I’m assuming the T610 uses Li-Ion)
Obviously I'll want to start playing with my phone as soon as I get it, but if it's going to affect the battery's standby time for the rest of its life, I'll force myself to give it a good charge first and just leave it plugged in for a day.
Also, can you use the phone during the initial charge without it affecting the battery's life thereafter?

My battery only lasts at best 3,5 days and that is if I barely use it at all. Thats way too.

I got mine at about 2pm last Weds, left it on charge til I went to work on Thurs at about 10am (so that's 20 hours).
That initial charge lasted until around 7pm Monday, at which point I plugged it back in and it recharged fully in about an hour.
I think it probably helps if you can leave it on initially overnight, and ignore the message about charging being complete. But I wouldn't do that every time I charge, perhaps once every couple of months.
Of course you can still use it while it's charging. I spent the first few hours typing in my address book from my old phones, coz the IR transfer allocated them silly things (stored every number as 'other').

Cheers, that's what I really wanted confirmed. As long as I don't have to just watch it charging for the first day without touching it I don't mind.
Luckily I keep my phones sync'd with Outlook so there's no need for the tedious task of data entry for me, but I will have itchy fingers for all the other features on there.
