hi...
i stay in kwt and have been searching for a w21 phone for over 3 weeks but with no luck. now ofcourse i don't want anything less than w23, which probably won't be available for another month or two as all the shops r full with week 16-19 phones.
i have come to know that w23 phones are available in dubai. a friend of mine is coming to kuwait from dubai on the 14th and here's where i want ur help:
he hasn't been in dubai for very long so doesn't know abt all the places out there. can anyone give me the address of any place in dubai where he could get the t610 w23 or later?
this is kind of urgent so i'd be greatful if anyone could help me out here.

The best place to buy in Dubai is Axiom Telecom, which is the SE dealer and gives int'l warranty. I got mine from there, and it's a week 23.

Got it for Dhs 1,450 (=$400). BTW the shop is in Deira City Center mall (the largest in Dubai, can't miss it).

Its for Dhs. 1449 in Axiom or preety much every where around.
Axiom and Jumbo are the main distributors for SE.
Both of them stock Week 23 +.
Axiom can be found in almost every spinneys store in Dubai.

would it be advisable to buy it from any other small shop or retailer if he were selling it for less, say abt 1300dhs. lets say i get the warranty with it too, but i'm not too sure abt international warranty. wouldn't the warranty be applicable worlwide by default?

Hey all!!! i got my P800 last Dec.22 there in Axiom, City Centre. Is it true that the warranties there are int'l warranties!?! im here in the philippines right now and i showed Semicon(an authorized dealer of SE)so that i can get my upgrades free;that it has warranty from an authorized dealer there, but anyways, i cant get my upgrades free over here..

@Skrue: Did u show them your Invoice and Warranty Card? I have personally heard from the Axiom people many times that they provide intl warranty, and i told them how can we prove it that it has intl warranty, he said you can always show your invoice and card. But i dont really think there is any intl warranty, and i just think the people at Axiom are misguided. I went to India and at an Authorised SE service center because of some problem i had in my T68i, and they said SonyEricsson does not have intl warranty so i had to pay for my repairs. Lastly, when i went to the service center of SE in dubai (which is owned by a company called Juma Al Majid) I asked the lady there, so these phones have intl warranty, and she said no they dont, but they do have GCC Warranty, which means warranty in the middle east, so i dont really know whats the truth. But as long as u are in Dubai, you do get warranty

If u dnt stay in dubai, and you plan to buy a mobile and leave town, i would recommend you buy it from the bigger stores like, Axiom, Jumbo, because this way atleast you will be sure you get genuine and original stuff.
