Hi all, have just got myself a T68i. I have used the wap setup on the Ericsson website. When I downloaded the info the number dialled to connect to wap was not 512000 and I am being charged for dialling up.
Does anyone have the correct settings for geniewap?
Many thanks

you do not have genie, you have O2. Call O2 support from your mobile by dialing 4445 (50p/min) ans ask them to enable GPRS and MMS.

Phil.

No they aren't. Genie doesn't exist anymore.
Yes O2 is still giving out free MMS/WAP gprs which you would have found out if you searched/asked O2.

Phil.n - thanks for your help. Did mail them, still waiting for the reply and btw I am still a genie customer as I called them last week and the guy said "your one of the lucky ones - on the genie tarrif"
Anyways mailed em - but as you well know there crap in replying and i'm not paying 50p a min to talk to em... these forums are here for a reason, for people to help each other.
So thankyou for all those polite responses and not so polite.

Genie lives on in their tariffs and systems. Just look at the O2 order numbers starting with GM = Genie Mobile. My sim (T610 which was a free upgrade from my 6210) still displays BT Genie.
I was also one of the 'lucky' ones on the Genie tariff wich has unlimited free SMS and GSM WAP calls. Although I have now upgraded to the O2 Online 200 tariff which offers me 200 anytime crossnetwork minutes per month which offer for me better value than the original Genie tariff of off-peak 50 free minutes single network per day. Although the new tariff still offers me 500 SMS (including 125 MMS) and 500 WAP minutes and 2Mb GPRS.
If you are on a postpay (contract) Genie with the free WAP minutes you need the following telephone number: 915000. I am not certain whether it is ethical to post the userid and password here, but as it is not personal and tied to your tariff I'll post it until told off.
userid: o2wap
password: password
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Jean-Paul
