According to someone here in the US who sells and services SE phones, the T610's (03W21) which had the BT static problem did not have it after they were flashed to R1L.

I can't believe it was a software bug, since that getting through QA is a damm embarrasment!!

If that is really true wouldn't it be nice for SE to let their customer service centres know? With all the questions on here yesterday wondering if R1L fixes the headset noise I rang UK SE customer service late afternoon yesterday and they hadn't even heard of of R1L being released let alone whether it fixes the problem.

Actually I dunno why I am surprised at that!

I am sure they will let us know soon enough. The bluetooth crackle is not the same bug as the hardware hissing bug, so dont be confused.
