I phoned SonyEricsson customer care (UK) to find out how much a new battery cover would be for my P800 since the one I have is scratched to buggery, and I was first told that I would need to phone Celestica (SonyEricsson's main repairers in the UK) since they were the ones who dealt with all the spare parts. The guy I talked to even tried to suggest that since the battery cover was classed as a spare part, I would need to send the phone away for it to be replaced by an authorised engineer!! The F***ing battery cover!! That little piece of plastic you remove to get the battery out!! Thinking he was nuts, I politely said goodbye and then phoned Celestica, and after 15 mins on hold, I finally got through to them, only to be told that they dont deal in spare parts apart from the keypad, and SonyEricsson should have known that,
Annoyed by this point, I phoned SE again, only to get through to another pleb who told me that Celestica were lying, but that I would need to send my phone back to Orange to be "serviced".
By this point I was really pissed off, since there was no way I was going to send my phone away just to get the battery cover replaced, so I phoned R'S Electrics in London (my old local SE service centre), and they have told me that it is £5 to get one, and they have loads in stock. Luckily I am going to London tomorrow anyways, so I will be able to pick one up.
The moral of this one seems to be that SE Customer Care could 'Care' less about helping their own customers!!

Another typical SE customer service centre story!
For a fiver it might be worth picking up a couple of those back covers if you scratch them that much that quickly!

Unlucky I'd say. I alway get great help from SE in Sweden. But then again, it always depends on who you talk to. I wonder how you got your phone scratched though. Had mine for 4-5 months and there is not the tiniest scratch anywhere. Bought the 0+ just to be on the safe side, though I don't think I need it. My 0+ is scratched though... I used a needle to remove it once and that damaged it.

SE in usa is the same inept atitude. before i got my p800 i had a t300 and the battery door was chewed a bit by my dog. called SE 3 times and all the crappy reps told me it would be $100 US to send it in and have it replaced! total bullshi7 ! they wont sell a cover or even help me in any way! so i have found dealing with agents is the best way to get what you need in the us
