Hi guys

I'm considering buying a T310 as a highschool graduation present for my brother. Since some of you already own one, this is what I need your advice on:

1. Is it a good phone? Are there better mobile phones in the same price range (in Romania it costs 150 euro with contract and 200 without)?

2. How is it performing in terms of hardware/software (what is the latest sw version and should I upgrade after purchasing the phone)?

3. How is the screen (I've heard it's better than T68i and T300)?

4. What are the most serious bugs/missing features (has the calendar function been implemented in the latest firmware)?

5. Can it be used as a cable modem or solely as a infrared one? Can one synchronyze the phone using cable or just infrared?

6. How is the wap 2.0 browser? Is it able to display www pages properly?

I'm quite aware that some of these questions have been answered in other forums (i tried using search and found a couple), but I really need your fresh opinions, so please bear with me. Thanks a bunch,

1. Offcourse it is a good phone. The price 200 euros is a very good price imo.

2. Software is slow. You realy should think about this. I found it very irritating sometimes when i have 2 wait.

3. Screen is imo bright enough, but in the sun you will probably won't see alot. (but that is with almost every color screen)

4. Calendar has been implemented in latest FW (R3B). Serious bug! Only a few minor bugs reported so don't worry about that.

5. Both cable and IrDa can be used for modem. Sync is only possible with the new R3B.

6. Didn't tried this yet.

i have only had a play around with one (i have a T68i and T610) and i also had a play around with my mates T300, i prefer the 310 it to the 300, except the shape i found a little annoying, but i prefer the smaller phones (and the 300 felt massive comared to it - the 310 is thinner).

as for the price, i wouldnt know, but the phone its self is a good one, not a particularily adult one, but good nonetheless.

im sorry i cant be of much more help, but heres my input anyway!

(if you can afford it, i would go for the T610, failing that, the T68i, but thats just me - i think the T68i is going down rapidly in price)
