every time i try to send an mms it fails at the last hurdle. i.e. it gets up to 94% transmitted and then fails. am i right in saying that it should use 'vodafone live' as the connection (it comes up with choices). someone sent me a mms and i got an sms from vodafone giving me a web address to click on to view the mms that had been sent to me but i couldnt get this to work. ive never managed to get mms to work on my phone any suggestions? thanks

what network are you on, prepay/contract? some info needed!
if you're getting the text when a friend sends you a msg it seems it isnt activated at your service provider level and is nothing to do with the phone, ring them and ask them to activate mms/gprs if it isnt already.

vodafone monthly contract
i phoned and activated mms a few weeks ago
then when i phoned for help a couple of days ago they said it wasnt activated so i contacted the people who bill me (other bit of vodafone) and they said it was activated but they would double check and activate it again.
still no joy

Vodafone have recently had problems with their MMS service so probably the reason it's not working. If the message fails it will always fail @ 94 %. Best thing to do is call them up to check this or recheck all your settings.

If you haven't upgraded your phone to R2F, that could be an answer. I used to get the same errors as you do, but when i got the upgrade, it worked flawlessly (almost

)

Mine did exactly the same for the 1st 20 or so attempts roy.
Then, with no adjustments to the settings which we're in the phone when I got it from Vodafone whatsoever, it started to work properly.
I would guess its a Vodafone problem, rather than some problem with the handset settings.
