Just access the menu during the call and go to the recorder... Easy huh? ;-)

Aren't there some legal implications regarding the recording of a conversation without the other person's knowledge?

probably is but who cares. unless its important confidential stuff i doubt anyone would do anything. anyway if they did complain ud just delete the convo off ur phone and there'd be no record of it!

Hmmmmm, just knwoing you can threaten with it might help

I had HUGE problems with T mobile. Giving out dubious info to say the very least. Finally called them up, said 'I wanna sort this out once and for all now. You don't mind if I record our conversation, do you?'
Solution within 30 minutes, never had another issue with them
As long as the other party is aware that you are recording, there are no legal issues

Legally, you just have to do is get the other person's verbal consent before recording a conversation. But like SCORPIONKING1982 said; who really cares? Obviously if you're going to use the conversation in a legal matter it's important, and also get the other end to confirm they are aware of the recording on record after you start.
My old Motorola used to beep every 10sec or so on the other end when recording to let the person know, but the T610 doesn't do that.
