I just did a clean up of my c memory; i did a master reset and it wasn't thorough enough so i reformatted the internal disc. To my dismay, i found that there was still a whole load of random junk in the c drive! Then, after reinstalling opera, i noticed that mp4s, mp3s and .sis files would not open/ be recognised. (There is no viewer on your device to open these files). But if i email these files to my p800 it will recognise them and play or install them. Why has opera spit the dummy at me? If anyone has encountered this problem, please let me know cos i really would rather not send my phone away...
