I would like to know too for sure. I have a T610 and an HBH-60 with static (bad). I have R3A on the phone, problem is SE still hasn't said if it's a hardware or a software problem.
I've seen some posts say that it's fixed with R1L and others say it isn't - really annoying. I e-mailed SE and they said it's "within the normal variance". There is no way - with my T39 it's absolutely clear - this isn't a subjective issue - there is either static or there isn't.
Anyone out there have any info about this - seems ridiculous that with so many T610's out there and the new firmware out that we still can't get the lowdown on if it's actually supposed to fix it or not.
