Just read this - it's from uk.telecom.mobile...
" 3 technicians are frantically working on the configuration of Sony Ericsson handsets in preparation for an unveiling of up to five new phones - but have dropped a Nokia from the launch roster."
"Some industry observers have criticised 3 for not offering an attractive consumer 3G handset. The "Nokia factor", as many dealers label reticence from loyal Nokia users, is reckoned to be limiting 3's potential to reach a wider audience. However, the Nokia - thought to be codenamed 'Mango' within 3 - has been axed because of its limited functionality, sources claim.
Sony Ericsson is understood to be working closely with Vodafone, as well as 3 on 3G handsets for the UK."

It came from a NG - someone else posted it, but it sounds real enough. If what I've heard about Nokia's contribution to 3G is true, then I can certainly beleive it!

If nokia's contribution for 3G is like that crappy-retro-looking-with-big-antenna-phone namely 6650, it's better to drop them alright.
