I'm having big problems with playback of MP3 where random frequencies seem to be missing from tracks. For example one song didn't have any vocals.
What programs and bitrate (and any other relevant settings) are you using to encode your MP3s ??

I use winmx to download the songs from the internet, then I use the stuff that was on the cd to transfer them to my Mp3 card and then I listen to them on my phone...
You have to format the card first, as I found out a week later

I also download from WinMX and also encode my own MP3's but I use a VBR (varible bitrate) with a 99% compression - I use Musicmatch to re-encode them - They sound much better this way and they take up less space I can get around 45 min of good quality music on a 32mb mmc
The quality is the same as about 192kbs but the size is not
Hope that helps
