Damn this phone kicks ass. I love it. The RF is great. I can make a call out of my parents basement. I've never had another phone that could do that, except my T62u (But it switched to TDMA to swing it) More updates later.

You're the first one, that I can read, who's not complaining about RF reception (we all think T610 is a great phone, but for most of us, RF reception is a big concern).
Can you answer the following questions:
State, and City?
Carrier (T-Mobile, Cingular, AT&T, etc..)?
T610 firmware version (not sure how to check firmware version though)?

No the diffrens is in one of the frequency bands on T616 one of the bands are 850MHz

State, and city: Tennessee, Adamsville (considered Memphis market)
Carrier: Cingular
T616 Firmware Version: R1A054
When people talk about RF, they are referring to the quaility/strength (clarity/resistance to dropped calls/etc) of the signal the phone picks up.
Where do I find the "Build Date"? On the phone, the box, etc?

Dude, I know what you mean, I called and/or went to just about every store in W. Tennessee. No one had them yet, some haven't even heard of it.
I just couldn't take it any longer. I bought mine off Ebay, it's Unlocked, came with a H/F headset and car charger. Shipped overnight, it cost me $382.99 I know that sounds kind of expensive but considering that Cingular has started locking them now (I read that they even recalled all the unsold "Unlocked" ones) plus the Extras ($30.00+tax at Cingular if you get both) it all averages out about the same.
But GOOD LUCK with your search, hope it works out better for you!!
