I seem to have difficulty pairing with my pc at home and the office. After I have paired with my office pc, my p800 does not seem to be able to detect my home pc, and vise versa. Anyone know how to go about this? Thanks in advance

Are you trying to use the same dongle at home and then take it to work with you and plug it in there?
If so, I was trying to do this when I got my dongle and it didn't seem to work to well. I expected the dongle to be completely generic, ie, no hard-wired ID or anything, but my guess is that there is some ID that is unique to the dongle, not the computer it is attached to. This seems to screw up the pairing process as I guess it is this ID that the phone pairing process "remembers".
I gave up fairly quickly though as I'm having enough problems trying to make it work on one computer so I may not have tried hard enough. Anyone else has succcess with this?

Yeah ive had the same probs. I took me dongle and plugged it into another pc;-) and my t610 thinks its my home pc even though they are named differently. I have to erase the pairing and re-connect. Strange?:-l

I think you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly what happened. I guess that i'll have to get another dongle unless anyone else has a better idea!

Just like any other network card, the bluetooth dongles got a unique number. So if you want to use one dongle in two pcs there is no work-around, you will have to re-pair every time.

Yes. Bluetooth uses a system similar to a MAC Address and is called the Bluetooth address (I think its based on IPv6).But yes. each dongle is hard wired a Bluetooth Network addres, and pairing works on the Network Addres, not the assigned name.

What happens if you give the home PC & work PC the same name? Will the BT think it's the same PC and just connect as normal?????
