Mmmm, sweet. Shame I don't have £300 to blow on this thing!! This would be seriously good if you were doing alot of driving, or even better if you were a motorbike delivery bloke! Mount the P800 on the handlebars and the GPS thingy in your pocket!

As far as I can make out from the website demo and stuff, I don't think you actually get "maps" as such on your phone. I think it just displays generic road layouts, such as a crossroads or roundabout, and gives you your distance from that road feature, and which direction to turn when you get there. This way, you don't need to download maps onto the device (= heavy GPRS charges!!), but what it also means is that as everything is held centrally by the server, the maps should in theory cover the whole country/world? It depends how much of the world the server has mapped, but in this day and age I would expect it to be all of most developed countries.
Seems like a good system to me, very lightweight and gives you enough info - do you really need to see a moving map like in the old James Bond films? If so, are you willing to pay for it?!

i just watched the demo and half way through it shows the the phone downloading and displaying a mini map of the route and where the person is so im pretty sure you can download the maps to view.
A tad pricey at £351!

its not going to do you much good with the use of the software but without the hardware... its not like the P800 has a built in GPS!!! It's a great phone.... but its not THAT great!
