Maybe this is stupid, maybe itīs geniuos or maybe itīs just nothing.
When i recieved my T610 I had a little idea. Iīve been thinking about this idea for some time, but when i had the T610 in my hand it all became obvious to me, with the display taking up half the phone.
When weīre using the t610, and pressing the buttons we hold the phone by the tip of our hand. I little bit uncomfy, and most likely pretty unsafe. What if the design would be different with the buttons above the display? One could hold the whole phone steady in the hand, and whatīs on the display becomes a little bit more private.
I made a (tacky) photoshop montage to show you how i mean:

Try holding your t610 upside down. I think it feels kind of nice...

actually I hold my T610 across the middle of my 4 fingers with my little finger kind of wrapped underneath for support and the other three wrapped on the left hand side, also for support (I am right handed).
I then use my thumb to press the buttons or joystick.
This seems very safe.

I can see what your saying, but most people would consider the phone ugly if that was the case, and when buying a phone, how it fits in your hand is usually the last thing someone is thinking about.
Personally i think software keys are the way forward, and i would at all be surprised if
done away with the keys altogether and went for a touchscreen display completely - a'la p800.

speaker is at the bottom of the fone and the
mic is at the top...

perfect or imperfect, it doesn't matter dude.... the point is that no matter which phone comes out with that sort of design will have pretty slim chances of becoming a popular phone coz its gonna be highly inconvenient to use for most ppl... i know it'd be for me
