When I play around in the menus on my T610 for more than say five minutes it will loose the connection to the operator. Signal strenght will go down to zero and the display shows "No Network". The same happens if i listen to some midis or play a game for a while. Just updated the phone to R1L013 to no avail. If I do a new network search it will immediatly return to the desktop and show "No Network".
It will re-establish contact, usually within 20 minutes, doesn't help to turn it off and back on.. just have to leave it idle...
Has anybody seen this?

You mean lose not loose, loose is a word which means not tight slack. This message was posted from a T68i

Redferne,

I too am experiencing the same 'No network' problem on my T610. I only just got the phone 2 weeks ago from CPW. Initially, I thought it was a network problem (Vodafone) but because it happens so frequently and for long periods of time, I'm beginning to think it's the phone itself.

Anyone had this problem and more importantly a solution to it?

@spike731 - back off, tiger!

@kakamega

My T39m 14 months ago, when it was about 3 months old, did the same thing. Initial signal would drop off...

CPW exchanged the handset with no argument. I guess you guys have faulty handsets...?

Steven.

Sounds like a faulty unit. I've no such problems with my T610. The reception is very good. For the record I had no network problems with my T68 or my T39.

Well, I left mine at the local SE servicepoint today to fix the hiss problem. I explained the "no network" problem to them, hopefully they can fix it...

i had the problem 3 times on my T68 and now my bros had it for the past month and its now happened for the 4th time

its to do wiv the aerial being needed to b re-aligned or there is a bit of dirt or sumthing on it.

so far my T610 is fine [touch wood]

it normally happens once u have dropped it a few times coz the aerial has moved out of place (well that was the case wiv my T68)

I went to CPW this morning and explained the problem to them. They seemed happy to replace my phone for a new unit. However, they only had vodafone-branded ones ( Yuk! ) which I did not want. I was told I would have to wait until they got a delivery of the unbranded sets.

Hopefully I'll have it in a few days.

BTW-I have not dropped my phone once.
