I've been asking some questions, but have had no real answers, so I was hoping that some owners of Orange T610s can answer these:

When charging with the phone off, do you get a 'blank' rectangle at the top of the screen - Like the clock screensaver, but with no clock!?
I don't remember this before I master-reset the phone, and seeing as the rectangle doesn't move, it causes an outline to appear on the screen when I turn on. I need to keep the phone off for a couple hours to make it disappear!

What is the number in the little square icon on the SIM card?? (Not the SMS=10 or Phonebook=90 icons)??

Nope I don't get this.

Never been told what that box means - I have a contract sim with '0' & a JT sim with '3' in?? I will find out today

Yeah, I've noticed the blank clock thing while charging. Can't say if it did it before I performed the master reset or not because that was pretty much the first thing I did when I got the phone. I haven't seen the the outline on the screen though, but I so rarely charge my phone with the power off that I guess I wouldn't have done.

I can't imagine what that little number stands for on the sim card (it's a "4" on mine) but no doubt it's something obvious that I can't think of.

It's none of the above. Speaking as someone who works for Orange I can honestly say I have no idea what that number means.

And Orange isn't likely to tell anyone if they don't have to.

Hmmm, thanks for the replies.

@mredd27, do you also have the "My Sounds = 0KB" problem? (Go to Messaging->Picture->Memory Status) after the reset?

I guess that the charging 'box' appears only after the master reset. Kind of annoying!

I have a Vodafone Live branded and SIM free T610 - both have the box and neither of them has been reset. (The Voda one has been de-hissed by Celestica and de-branded by logosunlimited, but has shown the box from the start.)

I find it goes away when it's been removed from the charger and left powered off for around a minute. If I switch the phone on straight away I end up with a lighter "band" across the screen for a few hours.

I've also noticed that the box appears where the clock was when the phone was powered off.

(edited to correct typo)

Yeah I have that problem, and many others seem to as well. But again I don't know if it did that before I performed the reset.
