I don't know if it was mentioned yet but SE reports strong increase in sales in the 2nd quarter - they sold 6.7 million phones which is 34 percent higher than in the same period last year and 24 percent higher than 1st quarter this year.
Other GMS services are up 84 percent and Jap compatible 45 percent up. Incredible!
They are still 45 million Euro in red (33 million after tax) but are expected to be profitable before the end of this year.
Good times for SE indeed! Their policies are paying off....a good lesson for everyone.
Die Blokia!

SonyEricsson is doing very well and Nokia sales are DROPPING.Nokia sales are dropping because they make 5 new phones and all of them are same or have very slightly more features and they are pricey too.People now buy SonyEricsson phones because they don't give problems like Nokia.
Make yourself heard and buy a SonyEricsson.

according to individual shops (here in the UK) this is coz of three reasons:
-p800. This phoen is selling like hotcakes here. CPW have totally underesimated demand, and demand is still strong.
-T610. amazing deals available on this phone in the UK (Free on T-Mobile new contract). loads of ppl are buying it. Attractive both causal and business users here.
-T600. Tiny wonder. first day of release sold out in all shops in Tottenham court road.

Tht deal with T-mobile is only on mobile network upgrade. Nothing related to SonyEricsson. Of course it might benefit SonyEricsson in long term

Well something must be right... if my diehard nokia friend got a t310...
A lot of ppl around me have been getting sony ericssons which have really made me happy.. !
In our school it was always 100% nokia... no motorola, no ericsson...
now there are about 6 t68i's 2 t300 & 2 t310 + i have the first t610.. yipee !
And about six months ago all these ppl (including me) were using nokia...
Also good news - my uncle got a SE t306 (in the U.S.) about 4 months ago, and i just convinced my aunt to get her daughter a t300 !
So.. if you ask me if SE is doing well... i'd say in the marketplace yes...
However the actual marketshare might lead you to believe otherwise.
And for all those marketshare pro's i have a question for you : When these marketshare companies do their surveys... do they count or keep the old results and add on ??? Or explain how it works... because if they did that would mean that i would be counted as a nokia (or some other person) user even if he just switched to SE and dumped his nokia...

Yesterday a large group of friends gathered around the dinner table and the score was like this:
6 S.E.s (2 T610s, 4 P800s)
1 Siemens (sl55)
1 Samsung
2 Nokias
I was amused.
Last year, they ALL had Nokias apart from me on Ericsson R380s
Someone's obviously been de-throned.
