I have already answer it a couple of times in the relevant R1L threads.

With my HBH-60 it is quieter but it is still there.

Thanks Masseur!!

Are you using it now regularly ? Manageable ? or still annoying ?

Mine is R1A081 and only have static when I put the T610 on my pant pocket !!

I'm using R1L and still have the static.

The static does sound different (hard to explain) but it does still have it. Even with R1L my T610 is no way as good as my T68i for BT quality.

I never really noticed the static until I read it here and now I really have to be in a quiet room with it pressed right into my ear before I can hear it.

I have no bluetooth headfree, I can't answer your question. but I've upgrade R1L013 FW yesterday(service center on Causeway Bay)
There're something change:
1. The stand-by clock text has changed
2. Java application Load faster (the Java starting logo has changed, maybe upgrade)
3. Incoming call pic load faster

only this few little change i notice.
