Unbelievable!!! I was just thinking about it the other day about the Stacker of old (the days when our computer harddisk was 40mb - 256mb), how good it will be if it can be used on our MSD! Now it is here!!! Like a dream!!!

If there are no hitches, this will indeed rise to be the no. 1 application utility that will storm the MS, MSD, MMC, SD, etc markets.

Imagine... my 64mb MSD will transform into a 128mb!!! WOW!!!

If I read correctly, it only works on applications, so it wouldn't really be like doubling the MS Duo size. Data would stay as it was. Even if it tried compressing data, MP3s and MPEG4 video wouldn't compress to any smaller than they are already.

To be honest I need first some user feedback on it before infilicting it on my phone.

My concernes are:
1. Reliability of (de)compressing - data loss
2. Speed - if I have to wait 30 secs to decompress Opera for e.g., forget it.

You know the more complex, the more chances are that one will end up formatting.

Any thoughts?

You can also compress files for example the wad file from doom.
This saves me 2.3mb

Well, i just reclaimed 1.3Mb, it does slow down the opening of apps but maybe for your most used apps you could NOT compress those ones.
I have found this app excellent in use, infact it feels like a part of the standard SE package in use.
I often take lots of pics in high quality & BT them to my pc when i get home, meaning i need temporary high amounts of storage space on my p8, this iss perfect, i may even buy it.

Just downloaded it and love it. Can compress anything, Apps, files although abviously the amount each is compressed varies. Can only compress apps that are not currently in use (yellow not red).

It does slow down use, but not dramatically i.e. Opera takes 5-10 secs longer. Fine by me! However can be frustrating if you compress your contacts. That was too slow for me and i'm finding sync issues with the compressed contacts. (I think its due to compression)

Has file manager and memory manager too.

So far so good. Small apps compress and decompress very quickly. The larger ones (which have more potential for savings) can get rather slow. My strategy is to only compress those large apps that I rarely use or don't want to start up quickly.

Unless I find a problem, I will register this.

Yes, it is a great application, as the user above me said i also take alot of pictures when i am out with friends, so every time i have to delete a game or application to save up some space, but now it is very easy Like backup!

But one tip from me!!!
Never and never compress ur internal or external memory! With the filemanager u can to ur internal or external drive and compress everything > This gave me alot of problems, my maps were invisible, apps wouldnt start, pics were not seen, and yes i know that it compresses a file to an extension called .stk or something like that, so becarefull what u are compressing!
