I am interested in buying one, but on the site I want to purchase one from it states:
N.B. This product is a close out line, it does not come with Windows XP drivers
What does this mean? And if I do buy it, will it work on my windows XP pc?

Here is the product support page for the HPM-10 and if you click on "Drivers, scripts and patches" and then "Driver for the Parallel port MultiMedia Card Reader" it does NOT specify it is compatible with XP.
so pot luck if it works...

This is version 3.xxxxx of the driver and it works GREAT at Windows XP Professional.

I agree! get a USB card reader/writer. The parallel port writer is slooooooow. . .
amd you don't have to worry about all those wires (you need to connect the reader to the keyboard port for power) and drivers.
