Does the T610 accept these files? AmI doing something wrong? Do the files files need to be converted to something else before sending? If so how do I do this?
The reason I am asking is that I have downloaded games form T610 specific website which are in .jar/.jad format and when I send them to my phone it starts to send the file but then the phone displays "Operation failed".

That's really strange cos there shouldn't be any difference between using IR and BT and there both sending and receiving the same informatioon.
Can someone shed some light onthis please?

You are probably trying to send a Java app. not supported by the T610. I get the same error when trying to send Nokia apps to my phone. Try sending a game you know works on the T610.
BTW: you only need to send the .jar file

The fact that the Java apps are not supported does not affect the sending. I've been trying out my Nokia games on the T610 and they send OK . . . but don't run

I'm sorry, but that's wrong. Some app's. not supported can create a error during sending. I have successfully transferred many games created for Nokias, but some refuse (for some reason) to be saved..
I diddn't however, encounter this problem before I upgraded my phone last week.
EDIT: It might be the program thats currupted, and not that it's made for Nokia that envokes the error. All I really know, is that i've been experiencing this problem myself, but only with some apps.
The first time I encountered it, I tried sending a different program, which worked. Then I went back to the first one, and the error re-apeared.
BTW: Sorry for the typos.. I know there's some nasty ones..

I think that it's most likely to be curruption in the files.
I think that the phone recognize the file type by first looking at the ending, then, when it's supposed to save the file, it "scans" the file to find out where it should save it. If the "scan results" doesent fit any of the ones pre-defined, it prints an error message.
