Go to Semicon and have it upgraded, if they have R1C. Note that after the warranty period, upgrades from Semicon are no longer free. I have not upgraded mine, if you will ask.

i called up ericsson they said they are still testing the R1C... called up semicon they told me that they have it and that i should upgrade it at their head office. when i got there they told me to leave the phone for a couple of hours. ok lang sila? i didn't bother to upgrade it since i can't wait that long. ericsson told me aside from semicon, smart net is also an authorize service center. it's at ortigas. have you heard of smart net?

Just tips, I can check POP3 mail since I'm upgraded to R1C, by the way before you're upgrading your phone, it's better that you full charging your battery before it, because software upgrade usually drain battery, since Ericsson do not have dedicated power when upgrading (it use phone battery to power the phone just like Siemens, but Nokia has dedicated power on their equipment for upgrade).

Reason for 1 to 2 hours is because they need to charge your battery before to do it, so when you bring full charged battery it takes onle 25 minutes.

Beatrix,

SmartNet used to distribute Motorola. Their head office is at Pacific Star.

I'll ask around where we can upgrade without much hassle.

Gooms, I will upgrade to whatever is available before the end of my phone's warranty period. As I mentioned, upgrades will no longer be free after the warranty (at least for Semicon). MMS is something I am not interested at this time because SMART and/or Globe have not announced any support for that standard.
