if anyone can correct me if im wrong...the 2 fons are in different classes, t610 is a plain celphone. sx1 is a smartphone. if you want a stylish, functional, plain 'ol celphone--t610. sx1 if you want to do smart phone stuff (p800/n 3650)--sx1.

There will always something better ........maybe the P900 ?? T610 and SX1 aren't the same type of phones..........depends what features you want and whether you actually use it at all !

The most important difference between SX1 and T610 is that the SX1 will be in the market at least 6 months later than the T610. Simens says october. By then SE will have the P810, Z600 etc. So there is no reason in comparing. I´d say buy a T610 now and buy a 3G phone next summer. By the way, The T610 is a great phone!

Actually I think you can compare the T610 and the SX-1. Why not?

Its not like the SX-1 has a touchscreen or anything. Just because it has some better features than the T610 does this suddenly make it a "smartphone" and therefore not comparable?

I could understand if the SX-1 had a touchscreen with handwriting recognition, or a mini qwerty keyboard. That would change it into a different type of device. Otherwise its just a phone with PIM functionality.

Oh, i think you missunderstand me. Off course you can compare them, hey you can compare anything. But it´s a bit like comparing products of different generations. 6 months in the mobile industry is an entire product line. So off course you can compare them but it is a bit unfair. A part from that there is still a great difference between the two when it comes to size, weight and price. Still, do not missunderstand me, the SX1 is looking to be a great phone! But maybe you should not comapre it to the SE T610 or Nokia 7250. If you wait for the SX1 you will have the exact same problem but now you´ll be waiting for something that will be on the market early next year thats even better. The T610 is by far the best phone around at this moment, and also with an extremely attractive price. There will be another 4 months before anything will be out that can compare. So go a head and buy it, it´s a great phone!!

@ duncan

yes we can always compare, but....shades is asking us to tell him what is better.

to use an analogy:

"should i buy a Honda Civic? or a fully loaded Lexus?" regardless of what kind of a phone the Sx1 is, it is still a mismatch and a silly comparison.
