1)I keep reading bout the T610's screen flicker - does it P#@$ you off. And will it be sorted out by a free upgrade?
2)The camera in the phone-is it a shoot what you see styel like the one on the Panasonic GD87-and not like the MCA-20 where u need decent lighting conditions
3)The resolution of the camera-ne good?
4)Anyone going to tell me when Cyren communications will be getting the T610 on Orange PAYG in store and available to buy
5)How long before the Flash attachment is out-and how much will it cost
6)Is the Battery Life on it any good
7)Will the firmware updates iron out the problems and if so does anyone know what sort of things they will be sorting out

Yes.. Theme Creator Pro 3G is an excellent theme editor.
9) There are quite a few games. Both Java and Mohpun games.
10) I think that T300/T310 games will work, but they will not take advantage of the better screen. But you'll not be able to transfer them between the phones, because they are locked with the IMEI-number of the phone. The free SE games might work though.

No, I honestly never even notice any flicker unless I really look for it in some games (and even then I suspect it is often a case of the way the game is programmed)

Not sure what you mean. Don't all cameras shoot what you see? As will any cameras the fact that there is no flash as standard means you need decent lighting conditions, but you can change the output brightness (and shutter speed with upgraded firmware) which helps a bit.

Good for what? Assuming you mean the overall quality not just the resolution (because you can imagine what a resolution of 388×252 looks like) don't expect it to be comparable with even the cheapest of proper digicams, but for it's purpose it does the job I suppose.

I don't know, there is a huge thread about this phone on Orange somewhere though which may tell you.

Haven't a clue. I haven't heard any mention of this other than the original announcement from SE so it's just a case of waiting to see I suppose.

Mine is only lasting 2 or 3 days so far (the phones a little over a week old) but I play with it non stop (playing games, lit screens and using Bluetooth drain the battery quickly) it gets better apparently after the it's been through the charge cycle a few times.

Best to keep this sort of question to the relevant threads that already exist rather than hiding bits of information all over the place on these forums.

I can't remember which ones were on my phone and which ones weren't when I got it to be honest. There are so many to download though (with more coming all the time) so you'll always find a few you like.

I haven't tried it, but I believe they work. Some will only take up a fraction of the T610's screen though.

To me they seem to run smoother and load quicker, but you'll have trouble finding good free ones. Java is more popular amongst developers because of wider support. You can tell the difference on the phone because they are stored in a different menu to the Java games and they don't have a Java popup when they load.

There is a demo for a Soccer games floating around somewhere. I think it was a Mophun game that you have to pay for in its full form though.

I've never seen anything like this being sold, but that doesn't mean they don't exist! The most obvious solution I can think of would be a polarised screen overlay, but I guess that would interfere with the TFT screen.

I noticed this for the first few days, but after that I just stopped thinking about it. It's easy to clean either with the included cloth or just a wipe on any soft clothes you are wearing.

Orange removes some SE stuff (pics, sounds and themes) and adds a few bits of their own (WAP customisation, a couple of changed icons, pictures and a theme). There’s nothing too intrusive on there.

My T610 does flicker like you said.. I thought i was the only one with that problem. But I got another problem with my phone, that is the camera. When I take photos in a not so bright condition, I can see a very clear thin pinkish line. Is anyone experiencing this problem? I am really very worried about this. I hope someone can advise me on my problem, so that maybe i should get it repaired or what..
For others who want to buy this phone:
My T610 screen does flicker. Not very noticeable but can see. The battery life is stable. Ability to beam things is great. Picture caller ID is way too cool, nice colour screen in the dark, the camera is a 1-2 seconds slow, meaning you may not get what you shoot.. I think that's the good part. Not forgetting to mention the MusicDj, interesting.. Bad points: Back cover will loosen if you open it often, screen gets dirty easily by fingerprints, screen flickers and the THIN PINKISH LINE ON MY CAMERA! Basically, that's all.. I would recommend this phone to everybody! From Singapore

well it looks like im going to buyit- when i say about the camera shoting what it sees-on the t68i with the camera attatchment-it would stuggle to shoot things that were in dimly lit places like the pub-roughly at the same time my mate picked up a gd87 and he could pick up exactly what w were seeing. Thi witht the adjustable brightness-if i was to buy a t610 now would the firmwae be the latest-baring in mind that wen cyren get em they will be fresh stock-also anyone know wen cyren are getting them on orange payg

hi, i got the t610 few days ago, its excellent, apart from the stupid hissing, wich isnt to bad and slight flickering hard 2notice tho,
if i take this to carfone warehouse repair centre (didnt buy it from there) willt hey upgrade the software for free like the t68i ?? also wil they update the hissin thing to, for free ?
