Can anyone help me syncronise my new T610 with outlook. Can get the phone to show me my pictures etc, but really bought the phone to download my contacts and calender????

Have spent 2 days trying to achieve this...........any ideas what I may be doing wrong. Using a generic USB, which seems to be working fine transmitting the photos taken on the camera.

Regards - Beck

Lets start by confirming what version of outlook you have?

Did you install the XTND synch software that came with the T610 (or download the latest version from the SE global support page.

What errors are you getting?

Does the mobile phone monitor find the phone

Any other information you can provide based on your 2 days trial would be helpful in suggesting a solution!

Dear Masseur,

Pardon my ignorance re the posting of replies etc etc, but here goes........

I Have Outlook 2000 Premium

I can pick up the photos if I synchronise through the Bluetooth Menu on the computer.

I cannot get Outlook to syncronise or recognise the phone.\

I have not downloaded SE yet

Bought the phone in Brisbane Friday 18th July

Any suggestions?? apart from me coming up to speed with my typing and use of the internet

Ah ok! sounds like you have all the correct versions (although you could download that latest XTND suite at some point).

If you are using bluetooth and you can send/receive pics then it probably sounds like you are not far off as you obviously have a COM port setup.

What you might need to do is going into control panel and Phone Monitor Options and the Com ports and confirm that the virtual bluetooth is enabled.

After that I am not sure so if that doesn't work then mention in your reply what bluetooth adaptor you are using any maybe someone else can pick this up!

beck56, before you want to synchronize with Outlook, first you should make a connection of PC to the serial port of T610 through Bluetooth Neighthood. (The new version of Widcomm Bluetooth driver should have Serial Port support).

After the Serial Connection is made, you can use XTND to synchronize with Outlook.

The above manual connection of serial port is only need to do in the 1st time. Afterwards, you can perform XTND synchronzation without making the serial connection because the serial connection will be made automatically.

Could anybody using Outlook 97 successfully install and use XTND Suite? I fail to install from the bundled CD. Even after I have run Outlook 97, it still said 'Outlook has to be run prior to installation' during installation and exited.
