Finally, just this second had it re-flashed, and I am more than happy! The guys at the shop were ace (mobilexchange) and Nick did it all for me.
Next thing is an update to be able to remove all 'predefined items' which will make me even happier.
Another thing I noticed was that with the Vodafone menu system, when you go to messages, the first item on the list is picture messages, with the standard software it is text, which I thought was odd.
Anyway, very please now that I have the
firmware on there. Now I just gotta get the latest firmware update, hmm, hope they dont put the Voda back there.
I just want to say thanks to everyone here for helping me with all my queries regarding this issue which was becomeing increasingly annoying!

Good to hear you finally got it sorted, after getting 'stuck' with the Vodafone T610!!
Anyway, the Orange/O2/T-Mobile T610s have Text first, then Picture.
Must be an evil ploy by Vodafone to get people sending (expensive) MMS!
