Ok, i was trying to clean up my c memory with fileman, so i started deleting files and of course the inevitable happened, and i deleted some files that were really important.......
I tried a master reset, but thats pretty useless, so i formatted the internal disc; assuming that it would be a total clean up, and the system files would be restored from the rom drives. This wasn't the case either, cos i still had a load of junk left in the memory after the 'format'.
So of course i ended up having to send it off to SE, who decided a firmware upgrade would be my best option.
I just got my phone back, and to my dismay the same problems still prevail. Obviously, SE (mobile repair) have made a backup, upgraded the firmware, and restored the original corrupted file structure!! (duh)
Anyway my point is; could anyone send me a list of the contents of their c:/system folder? Maybe then i could compare it with the contents of my own system folder, and figure out which files are missing. Then i'd be a step closer to restoring them. Im guessing that restoring lost files might solve the problems im having....?
Obviously the cleaner the folder is, the better.
The files i lost were installation files mostly i think.
Basically my p800 wont recognise .sis, mp4 or mp3 files when i download them with opera. Reinstalling opera didnt work....
Man its irritating! Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

have you tried a master reset since the update?
I ended up doing mine about 4 times to make sure it was clear - and it worked a treat...
I don't think recreating folder structures is going to help you too much to be honest.

@ jackblue,
The Master Reset is good enough. What I did the last time is perform a Master Reset, follow by Formating Internal Disk... everything back to factory setting...
Another suggestion if it is not troublesome, take your phone to any SE Center to re-flash the firmware again... this always works...
Good luck.

yes, ive master reset and formatted the internal disc several times, but unfortunately this does not restore lost files, it just seems be a half ass clean up of the memory. (my colour scheme and device lock code were still there, for example).
ill probably get it reflashed, and make sure they dont restore a backup this time.
im still keen for someone to send me their system folder details though, id like to try that first.
cheers
