> T610 - phone book lacks adress infos?

Hello,
I just switched from Nokia to SE and am generlly very impressed with my new T610 in terms of functionality (IMAP4, "Sent" folder for sms, ... just to name a few things). So I was even more .. err.. confused when I couldn't find a adress field in the contacts / phone book section. Does anyone know whether this is a known problem or if ther may be a fix for it? 'Cause imho this draws the fine line between handy and organizer for the T610

problem? no, the T68/T68i was the same too. Unlikely to be changed in current models, maybe as they get more memory in future models. Of course P800 has address capability.

thanks for the info, nice to know. But - *lol* - I don't think memory is a problem on t610, or is it? Why doesn't any magazine test really important stuff like that ...
Speaking of memory, I also noticed that you can store only a very limited amount of text messages - like 30 sms - on the phone!? this is a major joke I suppose, if my phone didn't already have a lot of bruises from a recent vacation I'd surely change back to Nokia if just for that ... just joking.

Hmm.. regarding SMS storage the T610 can store about 70 sms. Do note that the Sent SMS's also uses this memory

wait, doing a quick check ... yeah, may be true. they sum up to sthg. like that on my phone. anyway, even the crappy nokia 8x series could store ~150messages - even though it took like 40secs. to access a single message if memory ws near full *lol*

I don't remember any more but don't nokias store SMS on sim not in phone memory? I'm pretty sure my last Nokia, the 8250 did.

@ninjaturtle - no, but it would be sthg. to strive after to have virtually unlimited nr. of sms stored on your phone with *decent* access times. what the heck, a thousand full sms should take about 150k/170k of phone memory. not applying compression, shrinking them to approx. 75-85kb. access tim? pfft.
@masseur - No, I think Nokia phones store them in phone memory and on the (additionally) sim card. At least the 8310 and my old 6210 did it. Don't know about other models, though.

Update: I contacted SE customer care today, who told me, that:
"Es ist nicht m�glich Adressen zu Speichern. Es ist auch kein Update daf�r in Planung soviel wir wissen."
(It's not possible to store addresses nor is an updte planned as far as we know.)

Well, it seems SE really doesn't have an eye for details. For example you also can't see at which time (date is displayed only) you dialled a certain number. All in all, I regret switching. Fancy SE stuff ist all right, but not if even these basic functions don't work...

There is a 'trick' if you really want to see the time someone called from a previous day. Just change the phone date to the date shown for that call and then it will show the time instead (since the phone now thinks the call was today).
I personally have never used this trick. If someone called today its interesting to know what time they called but if it was yesterday or a week ago I could care less what the actual time was!
