I have a T300 but am thinking of getting a T610.

Is the screen about the same when it comes to sunlight?
Is the resolution much better... (smaller pixles)
Does the colours make much of a difference.

Thank you.

I have both.

The colors of the T610 look a whole lot better. In comparison the T300's colors look dark and muddy. Apart from that, pictures on the T300 look totally different than on a computer, on the T610 they look the same.

Resolution on the T610 is a lot better 128x160 vs 101x80.

The main advantage of the T610's display is that it doesn't have the extreme afterglow the T300's display has. This makes games hard to see because moving objects go blurry. (games respond much better on the T610 as well). Gif animations also play a lot faster on the T610.

Only drawback of the T610's display is that it's harder to see in very bright sunlight than the display of the T300.

And the display of my T610 flickers slightly, especially when using the camera or playing Mophun games. According to my poll at howardforums, only about 36% of the T61x's don't have that problem.

I hve both T300 and T610 too. The colour is much better 65k vs 256 and the screen is realli v nice compared to T300. Nt sure abt whether which is better under sunlight. And the slimmer and lighter profile realli makes a diff when its in the pocket. 1 of the things i miss abt my T300 is that it has numbering for the options but nt for T610 and the font size for T300 is bigger and can be changed unlike T610.

if you can count you can still use menu item numbers on the T610!

masseur: No numbering = more troublesome! If T610 is more superior than T300 y doesnt it hve numbering?

Oh and the T610's speaker is louder, the one on the T300 is a bit too soft. The poly ringtones also sound brighter and louder.

The advantage of the T300 is that it has a piezo speaker as well, for the older style ringtones. Those don't fade in and are really loud. You can use some nice imelodies (.imy) which sometimes don't work as well on the T610. And those melodies occupy very little space.

EDIT:
Wait, another thing. The T300 has exchangable covers. Damage it and you can simply replace the cover.

EDIT2:
And the joystick on the T300 is a little loose, the one on the T610 is tighter, has more resistance and a stronger click.
