what type of file (eg. *.mid, *.bmp)are the sounds that you record on the T300? (the ones on the "sound recorder")

It's *.amr, I heard there's a convertion program if you want to converte it. just use the search function=)

Its definitely not .rar since that is an archive format. Recorded sounds are in .amr format (at least on the T68 and T610)

ok, when i covert a wav to a amr file it always is 33 bytes and doesn't work, anyone know why?

How do you convert it? you need to get a program called AMRConverter. And I think (I used it quite a long time ago) in order to "hear" a wav file converted to amr you have first to convert it to "8KHZ mono pcm"....I am not really sure but just convert with the above program a .amr file to .wav to see the exact settings.
