I have been using GPRS with my P800 for the last 6 months without a hitch. Today I called Vodafone and asked if I could move from GPRS starter to GPRS select, as my data bill was getting too high). The guy at the end of the phone agreed and voila! Now I can't use GPRS (so they are really saving me money!)
I was hoping this would just be a change in their billing system, but they must have done something network related, as everytime I try to use GPRS to retrieve email or browse via Opera, I get "Activation rejected".
Does anyone know a cure for this? Is there a different access point name when you are using GPRS select (I'm currently using "internet" with web/web as user/pass)?

hi, i had the same problem when changed on to perfect fit. your internet apn needs activating. do this in store because customer services know squat and its free. a common problem. mine works a treat now. i managed 2 get 10 pound credit extra because of this cockup. hope it helps ya

When I first got my P800 I needed separate GPRS configurations for MMS and 'normal' GPRS (i.e. browsing with Opera, receiving e-mail, etc.) Now I can use one config (the old MMS one) to do everything (MMS, WAP, e-mail, Opera, Traffic-I, etc). Don't know if this change just occurred when they changed my tarrif or some time ago, but it's much better now. No need to disconnect from one then connect again when I want to send MMS, and everything is a third of the price!!
