I hate the stupid one minute thing.
I can't decode vids because after one minutes it shuts the app down wile decoding

I managed to convert a couple of short movies, like the ones on 365jokes.com and some commercials before it timed out. Movie trailers or stuff longer than one minute won't work in demo mode.

well i think quicktime pro at $29.99 is the best way to go. a little more expensive but way better. i make a 30 min .3gp file in about 8 minutes and it is 11-12mb.

Just a quick observation . . .

In the link above there are 2 screen shots of the p800 showing it playing back videos, and in both there appears to be a 'time bar' and some other extra controls (such as a mute function)

Now my p800 does not show this during playback (and i have updated the firmware too). I would pay $10 for this enhancement alone.

Can anyone explain these extra buttons?

I tried this thing and got one 10mb qt file converted quickly and painlessly to a 824kb file, which isn't half bad at all... Easy to use program too - one minute timeout is a joke and I got one QT windows crash after it timed out, so stability may be an issue.

Otherwise not bad for those of us who don't want to dick around with production and compression and all that. Two clicks and you're there.
