settings"
Select "New..."
Name the new service

Select the "modem" tab
Select New...
Name the Connection
Select "generic IrDA modem"
Set the Baudrate to 57600

Select [Advanced]
Enter the DNS-Servers:
DNS: 66.209.10.201

Click (OK)

Click [Next]

Enter the phone number
Country Code [1]
Area Code [your area code]
Phone number: *99***#
(in my case this is *99***2#)

Click [Next]

Enter the dial string
+cgdcont=1,"IP","isp.cingular"

Click [Finish]

Click (OK)

Select the "Dialing Locations" Tab

Click on [New]

Enter the dialing patterns.

For local calls, call:
[G ]

For long distance calls, call:
[G ]

For international calls, call:
[G ]

Click (OK)

-------------

That's it. If you now click [Connect] your PDA will connect to the
phone via IR and connect to GPRS. It's pretty fast, actually

The connect dialogue will ask once for a name and password. These are the
same as in the phone:

UserID: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1

Hope this helps.

slight update: if you want to use gprs for dial up, use *99#g. Much more stable, but you will get killed on bytes. Otherwise, program in 18882517687, and use it as wap.
