I've just bought a T610 on Vodafone LIVE and I have noticed it's quite different from the stock SonyEricsson. I've tried downloading the original themes from the net but haven't been able to change some icons. The menu still has all the Vodafone preset icons and the live logo is still there in the bottom right hand corner. All the T610's I see on the net have different menu icons. Can anyone let me know on how to change the icons in the menu? It's the only thing I don't like on the phone. I don't mind the live logo but would like to reset the menu icons as soon as you press the joystick button.

Hi there,

yeah, vodafone have made cosmetic enhancements to their phones and given different icons that match the Live! service...

they can't be changed unless you bring it to a vendor that can flash the chip on your phone! Even when you get new themes with the stock ericsson, the icons don't change, Im also on vodafone live and thinking wether I should change my icons, but the main thing is I wanna allow other simcards to word with the phone...

Cheers doods. Yes it is on contract. Plus the fone itself wuz only £40 in a proper vodafone store, compared to Singlepoint's £100. C i'm on VodaPayT aswell so i gotta have it working for both simcards. But I really don't like the cheap looking icons. Will Vodafone themselves do it? Or am I gonna have to take it down to a dodgy shop n leave it there for a week while who know's what will happen to it? My old T68i didn't have those silly logo's n I bought the T610 cuz it's the upgrade to the T68i with better graphics. Not 2D menu icons n a live logo in the corner. Please post some more replies, for those of you that can answer.

I've lived with the a butchered Vodafone T610 for too long. I'm now going to leave them for that very reason. I do not like their branding one bit. I'm flashing it, unlocking it, and sticking two fingers up at Vodaphone. Goodbye, you ruin phones and i do not want your stupid live service on every other button.

guys we reflash t610s here to latest software only £12 including return postage, good investment to make value of your phone go up. Also if you use a sharp plastic edge you can rub of vodaphone or orange branding on case to make look sim free

As has been said very many times before: Never buy a Vodafone-branded phone!
