I just got my T610 Serial cable but I can't seem to connect the phone to my PC.

I just want to upload ringtones, and pictures. And download my pictures.

Can anyone tell me why my PC does not detect the phone?

I am on WinXP Pro, Pentium 4. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

The phone has to be connected when you start your computer. That was the problem for me at least.

I Tried both SE´s own cable and a no-name. In the end i returned them both and bought a bluetooth adapter instead. Works flawlessly!

Dont no for sure but I think it's not possible to download from the T-610 to the pc with a cable.Must be thru BT or IR.

OK. I have a t610, an official serial cable, mobile phone monitor and the image editor & I couldnt get my phone communicating with my PC unitl....

I started up my computer, reserved all the ports in mobile phone monitor and enabled one of them. I then restarted and made sure the phone was connected. When in windows, I opened image editor and gave it around 2 mins 2 detect my phone. If it didnt detect my phone, I repeated the above steps with a different port enabled.

Just dont transform this in a 'witch haunt'. Wrong, take a look to FMA

About the serial cable problem, I have one and it is crap, have to admit it, 1 of the 10 times it works but I found how to solve the problem, once the cable plugged in the phone shut it down, restart it and connect with your computer. This is how I do and most of the times it works
