I was just wondering, as a new owner of a T610, I've been trying out a few morphun games, but I was wondering if there were any apps that existed on the platform? I've read that people are already quite reluctant to develop for it, but some funky apps, like you can get on a 7650 e.g, camera enhancements, remote control, bluetooth messenger software...
those would be a boon!

The Mophun platform is mainly meant for gaming development. But since T610 has support for java (J2ME) you can use java applications.

Mophun is a gaming platform.
The programs for the 7650 is not mophun or java, the 7650 is a symbian phone, the t610 isn't, so the t610 can't have those programs, because they only work with symbian phones

Dont you think Morphun could be practical for apps too? after all, there are morphun games that intergrate bluetooth for network gaming, so theres no reason why a bluetooth messenger couldn't be worked on at some point, as well as other stuff
I think if Sony wanted to exploit morphun, they should think about stuff like that

sure, you can use Mohpun for ordinary programs as well, but since T610 has java, why bother?

I may be mistaken but I don't think the java platform on the T610 has support for specific hardware features like the camera, bluetooth etc. Does mophun?

thats exactly what I was trying to get at ruff rider...mophun stuff has already demonstrated that it can make use of phone functions with bluetooth and IR at least...so apps would be ideal, plus the java on the T610 is really unstable, e.g Q*Bert is really buggy for one

It would make sense using mophun for other things than games.
Java has no api for bluetooth or IR.
All so Java is very slow compared to Mophun.
