Can one damage the speaker (there is only one, isn't there?) by playing midis through it which make it sound distorted?

I have a couple on my computer which make my phone's speaker sound like it's about to break.

Any clues?

Can you send them to me? :-D I am trying to blow my speaker up! My poly's aren't too loud and I can hear that annoying hiss even on the loudest ringtone... I have a w22 unit and sony ericsson Turkey won't change it unless the speaker doesn't have a damage... This message was posted from a T610

Would a really strong magnet damage the speaker? I know this sounds dishonest, but if the speaker is poor then it should be replaced instead of you resorting to this.
