I know its a waste of time to go on about hardware improvments and impossible upgrades etc, but just maybe some SE guy might take this on board...not likely, but anyway.

If the T610 had a Smart Media Card slot and a headphone socket.

Those cards are soooo small and with it you could have a software (possible Java?) mp3 player. you would also have as many games and themes and pics and poly's as you could want. Apart from that the T610 is perfect.

(I read lots of reviews about how bad the screen is in bright sunlight, thats it not but, but totally useless... but having tested it under very bright sunlight, its not too bad. If you get the right angle you can read the screen easly...only the camera is hard to make out...)

I never thought of it in that way. They are up to 1GB already, so soon a DVD could fit... espically if they come up with higher compression than they use presently.

Cost will always be a factor thought. I cant see a 10GB card being made cheap enough for ppl to buy as a DVD. Unless they have a huge breakthru. I wouldn't be suprised if they started supplying a free dvd on the memory when you buy the card.

Of course, they would then be called DVC's? (Digital Versitile Cards)

I think these "48 hour" DVDs will be huge though, espically for travellers and renters.

Blue laser is smaller wavelength therefore you can fit small pits onto the disks enabling you to fit one hell of a lot more stuff in the same space.

Should we stop buying DVDs, cause theyre not really that great.

AFIK blue lazer can read on more than 4 layers. thus making huge dvds. as the normal lazer can only read through 4 layers
