can some1 tell me where the contacts are stored or is there any way to retrieive them??
I dont know how my contacts have dissaperared!! seriously i did not delete them i had made 2 folders which are also not there and all my UNFILED contacts have gone!
any ideas how it happ? and how to get it bak?
also where is the beta verison of camrecorder available?

I have the same problem with my contacts, they've been erased more than 10 times since i own the P, 4 months now. I hoped R2D would fix it but still the same. Yet I think it has something to do with the voice dial cause it happens short after i enable 'em. So I now Don't.
The only way I found to quickly recover them anytime (instead of synchonizing) is by beaming the whole contacts database to my PC (all.vcf) and then back to P. You can store thenm as one file in the Messages-Beamed and restore 'em in secs
As for the Camcorder beta search the forum ... it's here.

whers this all.vcf file located? i would create the folder again on the phone , then how do i send it to my PC as a file so that i can transfer them again if this happens again?
it would be best to transfer all the contacts on the pc in a single file.....

I cant believe it!... I used to get the same problem with my P800.
I have now had my P900 for a while. I got the "Memory Low error" and it prompted me to delete some files.
Anyway I did this and restarted my phone.
All my contacts.. yes every single one dissappeared from the phone.
So I thne just synced them back in from outlook on my computer, I hadnt done a sync for a couple of days so I lost a couple of new contacts that I had added on my phone.
Only problem was as I use like almost 10 different folders I had to manuall move all the contacts into the different folders.
Anyway let me get to the point, now one of my contacts (from before I resycned all the contacts on to the phone) "a new contact" that I was unable to put back in the phone. I thought I had lost this contact, and this contact is still not visible in my contacts view.
But this contact rang me and their name came up on the caller id!
How did this happen?
And I now think perhaps I may have duplicate contacts data hidden somewhere on my P900!
Please help.
I need a P900 Guru!!

Ok! This my most qualified guess and yes it is a guess. The contact is stored in your sim card! Therefore I suggest you take a cup of coffe and a snickers and copy your contacts from your sim card on to your phone. How does that sound?
If you already have done this, than I was compleatly misstaken and have absolutely no idea how to solve your problem.

@ Lucas Thanks for your post... The mysterious number is not in my SIM Memory. It has to be somwhere hidden on the phone, I cant view it but it showed up as a name when that person called me.
How can the phone use caller id to show me a name of someone when they ring, but this not be visibile in the contacts application?
Is this a known bug in the P900, or am I the first to discover it.
