Hi,

I just wonder, since my ISP requires me to logon to the SMTP server in order to send e-mails, how do the S//E T610 works with this? I mean, in Outlook I check the option that says: My server requires authencication

Can the T610 work with this in order to use my SMTP server?

Cheers

I don't have a t610 but in general doing pop transfer first (recieve and then send) should be working in most providers

good luck

we are looking into hosting a SMTP/pop3 server for mobile phones...

would you pay US $10 per year for this feature?

@Dragon fly

Might I suggest you pedal your wares elsewhere, or at least PM users instead; I think this is the third commercially-oriented post of yours I've read - and you've only posted 10. Get your ventures up and running, then announce them in the appropriate forum.

@rjpa

On the P800, there's a tick-box for 'Use SMTP authentication'. Selecting this then allows for a 'Use Inbox login details' option and USERNAME/PASSWORD fields.

I imagine the T610 is the same/very similar.

Steven.

Try setting your phone up and seeing if it works!
