My t610 phone freezed up, so I tried to turn it off but wouldn't respond so I took the battery out and put it back in and now the phone does not turn on. I plugged it in the charger and after a couple minutes the red light comes on, on the joystick thing, but I still cannot get the phone to turn on, and the battery was almost at full charge, so I don't know how to get the phone to turn on now. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

If you have large fingers like me, make sure you are pressing it down all the way. I wrestled with my 616 for a while before I found out I only thought the button was down.
Getting the easy stuff out of the way first, that's all

In future - NEVER REMOVE THE BATTERY TO TURN THE PHOPNE OFF!
Press the OFF button for 10 seconds instead.
However, now you're there, plug the phone in to charge. Does the charge light come on? Can you switch the phone on? If not, wait 1hr, try again...
Failing that, as the man says - back to the shop!

mine has done this on a series of occasions, i have been browsing wap and it suddenly turns off, when i try to turn it on a blue screen comes on and stays, what i did was plug in the charger and then turn it on, take the battery out and the charger, plug the charger in put in the battery and turn it on, a series of moves like that will work, it varies but eventually mine turns on.

Thanks for the advice, I took it to the shop today and the technician said it looked like both the battery and the phone had shorted out. He seemed baffled as to why, but agreed that taking the battery out was probably a bad idea. They gave me a replacement 616 free of charge atleast.

Opps, I did the 13 second trick on my brother's T610 and it froze up like hell after that. Holding the power button for 10 seconds or longer would do anything, so I had no choice but to take out the battery. But after a master reset it was fine, good thing I didn't fry it.

Last night I put my T610 on charge and turned it OFF. The charge screen came up, and the red LED was turned on. This morning I woke up and the screen was off but the red LED was on. I tried to turn it on.. no use. Tried removing battery and various sequences , nothing. So I went to my brothers room and took his T610 battery and put it in mine. it turned on! I guess the battery got fried or something. but why ?!!? Is it the charger? and I didnt do anything with the battery. I've read something about delta faulty chargers or something? might that be a reason? anyways, hopefuly SE are open today cuz on fridays they're closed.. so thats two days without a phone!!
