I don't know if many of you have tried Personal Jotter but it needs to learn as you write. To help it on it's way you can load in a text file and tell it to learn from that instead.

Well that got me thinking, so I downloaded a free dictionary file from the net and stripped it down to just single english words.

You can get the file here, it's got over 32000 unique words but is only a 328K file.

Load it into Personal Jotter and tell it to get learning. I then use the frequency sorting method so the words I use more often are at the top.

Hope it helps somebody

@kearnage
Hi I have a jotter application on my P800 which came with the phone. Is this personal jotter the same? If not, how useful is it? and Where can I get it? Is it free?
Thanks in advance

No I have the trial version at the moment.

The trial version is supposed to be limited to 50 words in it's database but if you import more and don't close the app they stay there.

It's OK for me until I get the full version .

Hi Kearnage,
How do you LOAD your dictionary into Personal Jotter and LEARN? Can you give us more details on that?
I have transfered the dictionary (text) file to P800 but cannot Open it using Personal Jotter!

Thanks and greetings

Kerneage,
I guess I figured out how to do it. I opened the dictionary, selected all words and copied them in PJ window and then selected Learn now from the menu. Right?
Thanks

They are just wav files. Save them to your pc and then transfer them to you phone via the cradle.

Once they are on your phone you can choose them as your alerts or ringtones.

I put dictionary the file up in a bit of a rush yesterday and it wasn't until I was away from my pc that I realised that the file I had posted was too big for Personal Jotter to read. I'll probably split it into a few smaller files so you can load them directly into Personal Jotter without having to copy and paste it.
