I`ve tried out some apps on

But I dont get them to work, would somebody try?
Dont forget to put a /other/appname in the URL or they wont work.

damn.. everytime I put the URL in here, it gets f**ked up.. dont understand why!
Anyway the url is: my t610 . info (in one word)
Somehow u cant type that in one word!! weird.

I could use a currency convertor, but applications like this are not going to happen I'm afraid.
To put it simply (and going from what I've read on this site), the T610 does not support the code required to make Java programs send/retrieve information to/from the internet. Therefore, things like financial and weather tools cannot be made very easily.

I've read the articles for "unsupporting sockets" by T610. But then, today, I downloaded this J2ME program, called (WebViewer.jar) and it manages to load HTML content, submit DATA in forms, which in fact means that the phone, can communicate via the built-in java. So I believe that applications like hourly-updated currency convertor/weather reports can be supported.
Or I'm wrong?

Sockets however are not currently supported on T610, so any application trying to make use of raw connections (or any protocol other then http) will not work

I remember couple of years ago, when ICQLite was launched (which had nothing to do with todays ICQLite) - it was JAVA and it was compiled to run only thru HTTP, and this way, avoiding many restrictions which sysadmins (as myself) would raise. May be it is a good-will time-consuming to do something alike for T610...
I'll wait for better days
